The function of battery board
The lithium battery protection board is used to protect the lithium battery. The lithium battery protection board has four main functions: overcharge, over-discharge, over-current and reverse polarity protection.
1) Overload protection function:
The overload protection function ensures that the charger cannot continue charging when a certain voltage is reached. The MOS tube that controls overcharging turns off and stops charging.
2) Over-discharge protection function:
The overcharge protection function stops discharging the load when the battery voltage drops. The MOS tube that controls over-discharge is turned off and discharge is prohibited. This process is exactly the opposite of what happens when an overload is detected.
3) Over-current protection function:
The over-current protection function stops discharging the load when a large current draw occurs. The purpose of this function is to protect the battery and MOS tube and ensure the safety of the battery under certain conditions. After overcurrent detection, the battery returns to its normal state after being removed from the load and can be charged or discharged.
